A Short Circular Historical walk in North Down taking in Clandeboye Avenue, Crawfordsburn and Coastal Path.
 
WALK 2.

A short walk in the Stormont Estate Grounds using Outdoor Photography as the theme.

What Way for the Ulster Way?

Lynne McClelland presented a cheque of £100 to David Corbett of the Mountain Rescue, from money left from the raffle at the AGM .

Terry Eakin Environmental Agency spoke of the history in England and Ireland of those who steadfastly endeavoured to make ways open for the walkers. The challenge today is
(1) for tourists whose aim is to complete the whole Ulster Way.
(2) To have the quality sections of Ulster Way way-marked by CAAN.
Problems over signage, and maintenance still exist.

The Re-launch of the Ulster Way will be in May/June..

Ronnie Carser presented the New Constitution which gives Charitable Status but which makes no reduction in the powers of clubs . As a charity, the area of benefit is  'The island of Ireland'. Thus all federated clubs within Ireland can enjoy the potential funding which charitable status may attract.

The Constitution was accepted ; Proposed by Ronnie Carser and seconded by Bill Darby and agreed by the meeting.

Thomas McKenna gave an account of UFRC plans for training in First Aid and Navigation.

The new edition of the Newsletter  was available.

We want to promote UFRC to encourage others to participate in this easily availabe recreation. We seek your ideas, your articles for the website, your feed-back however insignificant you may think it to be.
