This year’s AGM will be hosted by the Kilbroney Rambling Club and will be held in the Downshire Arms, Hiltown on Saturday 18th October 2014.

The AGM as always will be voting on your executive members for the coming year 2014/15, New nominations will be warmly welcomed to ensure that your UFRC utilises its best available people and widest representation from our
membership as the Executive progresses into another year.

Successful nominations should expect to be networking and lobbying with Government and a vast array of statutory and non-statutory organizations, and likeminded groups on issues affecting our membership. We also consider matters related to countryside management and responsible access, advocating in public enquiries and tribunals.

Professional backgrounds are always put to good use. However, the most important qualities necessary are energy, a little spare time, and a desire to develop and give something back into the arena that we all greatly enjoy.

Nomination forms are attached to this email or available from the website. Ideally, nominations should be with the Executive two weeks before the AGM; however, liaison with Simon or your nearest Executive Officer will ensure that no nomination will be left un-submitted.  Please note that as in previous years, nominations cannot be taken from the floor during the AGM.

Anyone interested in joining the Executive team can contact me or any of the executive officers present or past for an informal chat.
