On behalf of the Executive Committee the membership from the affiliated clubs are invited to attend our Annual General Meeting on Saturday 14 October. The venue for this year’s meeting is Castlewellan Forest Park and the host club is the Spartan Red Sox.

The meeting will start at 10.00am with tea and coffee. As always there is a formal aspect of the AGM which will involve the Committee reporting on the previous year, the appointment of a new Committee and looking forward to the coming year. Claire Saunders will give an update on our partnership with Walking In Your Community, in particular the ‘Open Weekend’ of Invitation Walks. The morning session will finish with a presentation from the Mourne Heritage Trust outlining its work tackling footpath erosion in the Mourne Mountains.

After lunch there will be walks in the Forest Park led by members of the Spartan Red Sox.

The Executive Committee is keen to expand its membership and this is your chance to nominate someone from your club. A nomination form accompanies this letter along with the agenda. We hope that all our clubs are represented at the AGM. If you are planning to attend please let our Administrator, Duane Fitzsimons, know (via ) so that we know how many to expect.
