Join Armagh Rambling Club for a gentle introduction to hill walking in the Mournes. A fantastic opportunity to experience the social benefits of walking with a club.
Date: Sun 1st Oct 2017
Time: 9am- 3pm. The club will share transport from Armagh at 9am returning mid afternoon. The walk will last approximately 3 hrs.
Location: Mourne Mountains, Co. Down
Length of Walk: The total walk is 8km
Number of Spaces: Spaces limited to 12 people and expected to fill up fast. Places should be reserved no later than Friday 15th September.
Armagh Rambling invite those who are new to hill-walking or those looking to walk more regularly as part of a group to discover the magic of the central Mournes area in the company of experienced walk leaders. Moderate exertion and no significant climbing will be involved. Refreshments will be available at a cafe at the end of the walk.
This event is part of the Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs (UFRC) Open Weekend.
What to bring: Warm clothes, hill walking boots, waterproofs, rucksack with snack and drink.
Suitability: Age 18+ and moderately fit.
