The Executive Committee of the Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs has, with regret, decided to CANCEL the Spring Meeting which was due to take place in the Oxford Island Discovery Centre on Saturday 21st March.

Our unanimous view was that holding the Spring Meeting would not be appropriate as we may be putting those members attending the Spring Meeting in a situation where there was a chance, no matter how small, they could contract the infection. We are sure you will appreciate that we must be guided by advice from Government and the health authorities and do the utmost to ensure the health and safety of our members. Sitting in a room for two to three hours in close contact with other people does not fit with current advice.

Given the unprecedented nature of the current situation we believe this decision is in the best interests of our members and hope you agree.

In due course when there is some clarity as to ‘things getting back to normal’ we will consider organising a replacement event.
