Carlingford Lough and Lough Foyle Outdoor Recreation Studies

Posted on February 4th, 2015 · Posted in Latest News
Outdoor Recreation NI are working on behalf of the Loughs Agency to carry out a review of existing water based and coastal recreation, tourism and leisure facilities, activities and access opportunities within the Lough Foyle (from Downhill to Londonderry and River Foyle to Malin Head) and Carlingford Lough (from Ballagan Point to Newry to Cranfield) areas.
As part of the study, we are holding two public consultations (one in Londonderry and one in Newry) to provide those who use these areas with the opportunity to influence the future development of outdoor recreation opportunities in and around the picturesque waterways.

I would be grateful if you could provide the attached information to your clubs and members that would use these areas to allow them to share their own thoughts and ideas. Consultations are to be held:

Carlingford  Lough – Newry Conference and Banqueting Centre from 7pm – 8pm on Monday 9th February

Lough Foyle – Loughs Agency Headquarters from 7pm – 8pm on Tuesday 10thFebruary

Complimentary refreshments will be served at each event from 6.45pm. To confirm your attendance or for more information, please contact Outdoor Recreation Northern Ireland on or e-mail
