Maine Ramblers Invitation Walk

Sun 1st October 2017- Join the Maine Ramblers for a great day of walking in the Antrim Hills. Ideal for those looking to get into walking as part of a club.

Date: Sun 1st Oct 2017
Time: 1:45pm to 6pm
Location: Antrim Hills, Starting/Finishing at Sallagh Braes car park at Carncastle near Larne
Length of Walk: Approx. 8km
Number of Spaces: Spaces are limited to 12 people and expected to fill up fast. Places should be reserved no later than Friday 15th September.

Main Ramblers invite you to join them for their first Invitation Walk on Sun 1st Oct 2017, a walk in the Antrim Hills tailored specifically for those who are new to hill walking or considering joining a club. Whether you come along with a friend or come on your own a warm welcome awaits (we really are a sociable bunch!). The walk will be lead by experienced walk leaders from the club and will take between 2 and 2.5 hrs.

The main meeting for the group will be at Dunsilly Carpark near Antrim at 1:45 however alternative arrangements can be made with the walk leader to arrange a meeting point at Sallagh Braes Car Park at Carncastle near Larne where the walk starts/finishes.

This event is part of the Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs (UFRC) Open Weekend.

What to bring: Warm clothes, hill walking boots, waterproofs, backpack with a snack and water
Suitability: Walkers must be aged over 18 yrs and moderately fit.
