Sun 8th October 2017- Join the Wee Binnians for a great day of walking in the Mourne Mountains. Ideal for those looking to get into walking as part of a club.

Wee Binnians walking club invite you to join them for their first Invitation Walk on Sun 8th Oct 2017, in the Mournes. This walk has been specifically planned for new or rejoining hill walkers with some uphill experience. Whether you come along with a friend or come on your own a warm welcome awaits and the walk will be lead by experienced walk leaders from the club.
The starting point will be at Meelmore Lodge car park at 10:45am.
The walk will follow rough track, open heath & bog to join the path to Hare’s Gap and the Brandy Pad which offer stunning views of the high Mournes. The walk will then contour around Slieve Bernagh on the Brandy Pad before hiking up to the Mourne Wall returning to Meelmore Lodge via Trassey Track.
This event is part of the Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs (UFRC) Open Weekend.
What to bring: Small rucksack, warm clothes, hill walking boots, waterproofs, backpack with lunch and water
Suitability: Walkers must be aged over 18 yrs and moderately fit.
