Welcome Walk with Belfast C.H.A. Walking Group (UFRC Open Weekend 2018)

Enjoy a welcome and a walk with Belfast C.H.A. Rambling Club in Scrabo Country Park

  • Saturday 29th September 2018
    • Scrabo Countryside Country Park, Co. Down. Meeting at Laganside Bust Station, Belfast to travel to Newtownards by public transport.
  • 11:30am to 5pm

As part of this years UFRC Open weekend Belfast C.H.A. Rambling Club are inviting 6 guests to join them for a Welcome Walk on Saturday 29th September 2018.

Walkers should be aware that there are some steep sections on this 6/7km walk. An optional easier level walk to the Floodgates is possible subject to demand. After the walk there will be an opportunity after the walk to socialise with a cup of tea/coffee and if you wish a bite to eat in Newtownards before returning via public transport to Laganside Bus Station.

What to wear:
Warm clothes, Hill walking boots (not trainers), waterproofs, backpack with packed lunch water or flask for tea or coffee, walking poles are optional, bus pass if you have one.

Suitability:
Anyone over 18 is welcome but this group is particularly suitable for people over 50. The group mainly use public transport and walk all year round in many areas of Northern Ireland.

Directions to the Event:
Meet at Laganside Bus Station, Belfast at 11.30am to travel to Newtownards. After the walk the group will return to Belfast by bus arriving approx 5pm.
